Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel makes spa manager appointment

Wendy Saunders has been named spa manager at the five-star Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel in the UK. Saunders, who has 12 years industry experience, is a trained beauty and holistic therapist and ran her own spa in the UK for six years, before moving overseas to work in Canada.

She said: “I’m thrilled to be part of Macdonald Hotels & Resorts. Working together with such a strong team is highly enjoyable and I look forward to developing our business to become a leading spa within the Bath area.”

Saunders, whose role is a maternity cover position, added of her plans for the spa: “We’re currently putting together new ideas of how we can maximise guest spa experiences, for example, the concept of bringing the spa to the guest with in-suite couple’s massages.”

The Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel is part of independent UK hotel group Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, which operates 45 hotels and 23 spas across the UK.
